On Saturday, October 25th, the Black Youth Mentorship Program delivered a powerful and transformative full-day event hosted at the University of Alberta’s Lister Centre. The event brought together over 100 Black teenagers for an experience designed to inspire, empower, and expand possibilities.
The program was a youth-driven initiative led by sixteen-year-old founder, Cosmas Edino, whose vision was to create a space where Black youth could learn from accomplished mentors, ask bold questions, and build confidence to lead with purpose.
INCLUSION

Through mentorship, training, and leadership opportunities, we encourage young people to believe in themselves, make informed decisions, and play an active role in shaping their future. We aim to inspire a generation of confident, self-driven leaders.
LEADERSHIP & INTEGRITY
We cultivate leaders who lead with character, honesty, and responsibility. Our programs emphasize integrity, respect, accountability, and ethical decision-making—values that guide young people to positively influence their communities. We encourage youth to act with purpose, model excellence, and serve as role models who uplift others.
